Isha Judd in Para Ti: self-love and peace in everyday life

In her Para Ti interview, Isha reflects on 25 years of Unification, the search for fulfillment and living a full life from a place of inner peace.

What does it mean to love ourselves when life does not unfold as we hoped? In an interview with Daniela Fajardo for Para Ti, published on October 2, 2026, Isha Judd reflects on this question as she marks 25 years of teaching Unification.

This article draws on the English adaptation supplied by Isha’s team. It is a summary of the interview, not a verbatim translation. The conversation explores fulfillment, emotional presence and the possibility of living a busy life without losing our connection with ourselves.

When achievement does not bring fulfillment

Isha describes an earlier period of her life when each achievement was quickly replaced by another goal. Outward success did not bring a lasting sense of fulfillment. Behind that drive, she began to recognize fears of not being loved, of abandonment and of not being good enough.

That recognition led her inward. Rather than seeking reassurance only in external accomplishments, she began exploring the love within and a deeper experience of who she was. Looking back after 25 years, she speaks affectionately of the woman who began that journey and the changes she has lived through.

Unification: connecting the head and the heart

Isha describes Unification as a connection between the head and the heart. The practice invites a shift from the mind’s repetitive movement into the past and future toward awareness of the present moment.

From that quieter internal place, she says, people can notice recurring thoughts, beliefs and fears without being completely absorbed by them. Unification is intended to be simple enough to incorporate into an ordinary day. It does not require withdrawing from modern life.

Presence includes our emotions

For Isha, sensitivity and feeling are essential parts of enjoying life. She reflects on how people can learn to suppress their emotions and keep going, becoming less connected with their senses, their hearts and their surroundings.

Presence offers a different possibility: appreciating beauty, feeling deeply and noticing what is happening around us. In the interview, joy is something to experience in everyday life rather than reserve for a few special occasions.

A full life, lived from a different place

Inner peace does not mean an inactive life. Isha points to her own schedule of teaching, international travel, organizing and spending time with horses. The difference, she explains, is the internal place from which action comes.

She distinguishes excellence from pressure and describes success in broader terms: health, communication, creativity, the capacity to empower others and the ability to enjoy life. Achievement is one part of that picture, not its entire measure.

Self-love, sensitivity and humor

Through her foundation’s work in very different communities, Isha says she encounters a shared longing for love, peace and a sense of being enough. Her invitation is to discover an internal sense of security that can accompany us wherever we go.

She does not equate peace with a life free of loss or painful events. The change she describes is the capacity to remain sensitive and engaged while allowing life to move. Humor also has a place in this process: recognizing a familiar pattern with warmth can make it easier to change without turning observation into self-condemnation.

The invitation at MALBA

At the October 28 gathering at the MALBA auditorium in Buenos Aires, Isha will teach Unification directly to the audience. She describes the practice as experiential and straightforward, something participants can take home and incorporate into daily life, with continuing support available.

The thread running through the interview is fuller participation in life: reconnecting with emotion and presence, appreciating what is here and exploring a sense of love that does not depend entirely on circumstances or approval.
