Senate of the Argentine Nation · Ambassador for Peace
The Argentine Senate named her "Ambassador for Peace" at an official event, highlighting her work in the country's prisons.
On September 17, 2010, Isha Judd visited the Argentine Senate to receive a special recognition for her role as Ambassador for Peace, highlighting her work in the country's prisons.
Her programs sharply reduced violence among inmates and their stress levels. The Foundation later signed an agreement with the Buenos Aires provincial prison service to bring the programs to all 54 prisons in the province.
At the Olmos penitentiary, Isha ran a seminar for more than 700 people deprived of their liberty, which led to that official program across the province.
The experience was incredible. All the inmates enjoyed the event: their respectful attention and good behavior is proof of it. We want to thank Isha Judd for helping improve the inmates' quality of life.
— Ricardo Jacod, director of the Olmos Penitentiary Center, Buenos Aires province
I am experiencing an inner peace I hadn't felt in a long time. Out in the world there are many people who are supposedly free, but I am starting to realize that deep down they are not.
