Invited as Ambassador for Peace to the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) event together with the Universal Peace Federation, at UN Headquarters in New York.
On October 31, 2014, Isha Judd was invited to United Nations Headquarters in New York for the Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) event together with the Universal Peace Federation, as Ambassador for Peace.
The invitation followed more than a decade of work by the Isha Foundation Educating for Peace in prisons, schools, hospitals and communities across Latin America — the same work already recognized by the Senate of the Argentine Nation in 2010, Chile's National Gendarmerie in 2011 and the International University of Cuernavaca in 2012.
Her message there is the one that underpins all of her work: world peace does not begin in agreements between countries, it begins in the heart of each person.
