TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENTS AT ISHA JUDD CENTERS
1. It is MANDATORY that you have full medical insurance coverage for the entire duration of the program and that this policy covers COVID 19. When you arrive in the center, you will need to bring a paper copy of the policy you have purchased so that we can help you at any point if required.
2. The Isha Judd Center is a house of consciousness where large-scale activities take place, and for this reason, we have to carefully observe set standards of hygiene and safety; as a result, we reserve the right to refuse admission. For this reason, we do not allow people to enter the Center or stay there who are suffering from infectious diseases such as: lice, scabies, tuberculosis, Hepatitis A, the mups, chicken pox, or measles. Please take the necessary precautions to avoid entering the center if you have any of the previously mentioned conditions.
3. Important: Those who are sick with COVID-19 or who present cold or flu symptoms, such as cough, fever, sore throat, muscle soreness or any other possible COVID-19 symptoms, will not be permitted to start their program.
If you travel to Uruguay, it is essential to have the complete vaccine for COVID-19 to enter the country.
It is essential to carry out a PCR test, with a period no longer than 48 hours before your arrival at the Isha Judd Center.
Upon arrival at the Isha Judd Center, an authorized Laboratory will perform a rapid COVID-19 detection test (antigen test). NOTE: This test is mandatory and is the responsibility of the student.
4. If you are following any psychiatric or psychological treatment, you must present written authorization from your doctor or therapist to be able to participate in the event.
5. If you are taking any medications, it is important that you bring the prescription and medical authorization with you.
6. The consumption of alcoholic beverages or narcotics is strictly forbidden in the Center and for the duration of the program; as such, you cannot enter the Center while under the effects of such substances. A failure to comply with this requirement will result in your immediate suspension and termination from the program with no possibility of a transfer or return of registration fees. Here we ask for your absolute responsibility because you are coming to take part in a process of total inner transformation. In the case of suspected substance use, a urine test will be used to rule out any doubt. Smoking cigarettes is forbidden in the inner spaces of the Center (and restricted to designated areas). The Center equally reserves the right to terminate program involvement for participants violating the basic norms of cohabitation, including but not limited to physical or verbal violence.
If you show up at Isha Judd Center without complying with any of the aforementioned requirements, the contribution made to the event will not be refundable.
General Cancellation Policy
In any of our events, if you either no show or you withdraw before the event finishes, you lose your payment.
If by force majeure you have to cancel your participation in an event, it is important that you send the supporting documents to [email protected] or to [email protected].
In such a case, the Isha Center reserves the right to:
- Keep the entire contribution or a percentage of it to be reused toward the reservation of a future event in the next 12 months in accordance with the Center’s availability. The amount is non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Apply a penalty up to the full amount or a percentage of the amount paid for the event.
CORONAVIRUS SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) CANCELLATION POLICY
We are aware of the implications of the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) pandemic and we want to support your reservation by adding flexibility to make changes if:
- There is a suspension of your travel arrangements (by air or land), border closures or other mishap of force majeure which prevents you from arriving at our Center.
- Before your trip you develop symptoms or have been infected with COVID-19.
In which case, we ask you to get in contact with the Isha Judd Center so that your case can be submitted to our reservation team where we will ask you for the necessary documentation to support your cancellation: airline notifications, airport communications, official notices, and coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) results.
If the information is complete, you will only be permitted to reuse your payment to make a new reservation within the following 12 months in agreement with the availability we have in the Center. In no cases will the amount be reimbursable.
In the event that the information provided does not meet the above requirements, the amount paid to the Isha Judd Center will not be reimbursable.
If upon arrival in our Center the result of your antigen test is positive or if cold or flu-like symptoms are detected, such as a cough, fever, sore throat, headache, muscular pain, etc. or any other symptom suggesting a COVID-19 infection, the Isha Judd Center will help you to coordinate with your medical insurance provider or Social Security to evaluate the next steps to take.
The Isha Judd Center is exempt of all responsibility.

PROTOCOL FOR STUDENTS’ ARRIVAL AND STAY AT THE ISHA CENTER FACILITIES IN THE PROCESS OF RETURNING TO THE NEW NORMALITY DUE TO COVID-19
OBJECTIVE
To establish prevention and control activities during the reception and stay of students within the facilities of the Isha Center, in order to avoid the risk of contagion by COVID-19.
Maintain the Isha Center as a COVID-19 free space.
SCOPE
This procedure applies without exception to all students who willingly enter the center.
The necessary recommendations to follow from the beginning of the trip are established in the different places of origin.
The guidelines to be followed during the stay and coexistence within the center are established.
The indications detailed here are only intended to support a balanced transition process that does not endanger the most important asset: people´s life and health.
THIS PROTOCOL IS SUBJECT TO CHANGES, ACCORDING TO THE GUIDELINES ESTABLISHED BY THE URUGUAYAN HEALTH AUTHORITIES
RESPONSIBILITIES
It is the responsibility of the Isha Center to establish the necessary controls to minimize the risks of this disease.
It is the responsibility of the people who enter the center to strictly comply with what is indicated in this document.
It is the responsibility of the students to inform prior to the trip, if they have been in contact with an infected person or suspected COVID-19 infection.
It is the responsibility of the students to report if they have been infected by COVID-19 and to present a medical certificate of epidemiological discharge.
It is the responsibility of the students once they confirm their participation, to take a PCR test, within a period of no more than 48 hours before their arrival at the Isha Center.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STUDENTS, TO FOLLOW THE PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES IN ORDER TO STAY WITHIN THAT LOW-RISK MARGIN AND TO MINIMIZE ANY RISK OF CONTAGION BY COVID -19 ONCE THEIR TRIP IS CONFIRMED: ATTENDANCE TO SOCIAL GATEHRINGS, SHOPPING CENTERS, OR ANY UNNECESSARY EXPOSURE, ETC.
IT IS THE STUDENTS’ RESPONSIBILITY NOT TO SHOW UP TO THE CENTER WITH COLD, COUGH, FEVER, SORE THROAT, HEADACHE, MUSCLE PAIN, OR ANY OTHER SUSPECTED COVID-19 SYMPTOMS.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT SARS-Co-V-2
Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that cause illnesses – from the common cold to more serious respiratory illnesses – and circulate between humans and animals.
In this case, it is SARS-COV2. It appeared in China in December 2019 and causes a disease called COVID-19, which spread throughout the world and was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization.
Human coronaviruses are transmitted from one infected person to others:
- through the droplets that a patient expels when coughing and sneezing
- when touching or shaking the hand of a sick person,
- through an object or surface contaminated with the virus and then bringing your dirty hands to your mouth, nose or eyes.
The symptoms are: cough, fever, headache and that is accompanied by any of the following:
- difficulty breathing
- sore or burning throat
- runny nose
- red eyes
- pain in muscles or joints
- diarrhea
- conjunctivitis
- headache
- loss of sense of smell or taste
- skin rash or loss of color on the fingers and toes
The best ways to prevent infection are:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water and use 70% alcohol-based gel solutions.
- The practice of respiratory etiquette: covering the nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, with a disposable tissue or the inner corner of the arm.
- Do not spit. If it is necessary to do so, use a disposable tissue, put it in a plastic bag, tie it and throw it away; then wash your hands.
- Do not touch your face with dirty hands, especially your nose, mouth and eyes.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects of common use in offices, closed places, transportation, meeting centers, among others.
- Maintain a healthy distance (at least 1.5 m) during contacts.
PROCEDURE
1.0 CONSIDERATIONS FROM THE PREPARATION OF THE LUGGAGE
1.1 Wash your hands and disinfect them with a 70% alcohol-based gel.
1.2 Clean the outside of the suitcase using a damp cloth, preferably with a mild soap and water solution.
1.3 Spray the inside and outside of the case with a disinfecting spray and let it dry.
Note: cleaning may vary depending on the manufacturing material of the suitcase, disinfection is a necessary step.
1.4 Proceed to store the belongings always maintaining the necessary hygiene measures.
1.5 It is recommended to bring a change of clothes in a carry-on suitcase, so you can wear them upon your arrival to the center.
2.0 RECOMMENDATIONS TO FOLLOW AT AIRPORTS OR BUS TERMINALS.
2.1 From leaving home, the student must wear: KN-95 face mask and face shield, as indicated in the following photos:
Important notes:
– The face shield must be reusable. The photo indicates the correct way to use both protections.
– Each student must ensure the supply of these equipment during their stay at the Isha Center. It is recommended to bring at least 3 additional face masks.
– Personal protective equipment must be worn throughout the journey until the arrival at the Isha Center facilities.
Note: it is not recommended for any reason to remove and touch the face shield.
2.2 Upon arrival at the airport, go to the area destined to laminate the luggage.
2.3 Use as few baskets as possible when passing through airport controls and transportation lines.
2.4 Maintain as much as possible social distancing, which refers to the minimum necessary distance when in contact with people (1.5 meters).
3.0 THE STUDENT UPON ARRIVAL AT THE ISHA CENTER
3.1 As soon as the student gets off the vehicle, they are greeted by personnel from the center, who will proceed to spray clothes, hands and the outside of the suitcase with a solution of either 70% alcohol or quaternary salts of ammonium. Footwear is also disinfected.
3.2 They will access the checkpoint and proceed to hand washing and disinfection according to the established procedure.
3.3 Temperature and oxygen levels will be taken.
3.4 An authorized laboratory will perform the rapid COVID-19 detection test (antigen test).
Note: This test is mandatory and it has to be paid by the student, in order to guarantee a safe coexistence during the quarantine period.
All requested tests are also applicable for students who have already been vaccinated against COVID-19.
3.5 The Center staff will provide an induction regarding the practices to be followed within the facilities. During this time, the student will fill out the Isha Center registration documents.
Note: In case there is more than one person, the reception process will be carefully carried out to maintain the allowed social distancing.
3.6 Once receiving a negative quick test result, the center staff will take the student to their room.
3.7 In the event of detecting any sign outside the normal parameters and / or presenting symptoms like cough, cold, fever, sore throat, headache, muscle pain, etc., and in case of any suspicion of being infected by COVID-19; The Isha Center will help the student to coordinate medical assistance with their health insurance company or with the social security institution to evaluate the steps to follow.
IMPORTANT NOTE: these steps can be adjusted according to the needs of the Center.
4.0 THE STUDENT INSIDE THE ROOM
4.1 Will remove the face shield, it is recommended to keep it clean in a bag while not in use.
4.2 Will remove and discard the face mask in the trash can.
4.3 Will take a shower, placing all the clothes they have worn during their trip in a plastic bag, spray it with sanitizing solution and tie it properly.
4.4 Will continue with the unpacking of their belongings, trying at all times not to place any object on the remaining beds, in order to avoid cross contamination.
4.5 Will allocate a pair of shoes for exclusive use within the center.
4.6 Will place their belongings in the designated space.
4.7 Maintains social distancing from roommates.
The use of the face mask is essential in this space especially in the presence of the personnel who carry out the cleaning.
4.8 Since the retreat is a face-to-face event, the activities will be carried out according to the guidelines that the Center has established for coexistence in common spaces.
4.9 During the event, there will be an outdoor activity, carried out in an organized manner and always with the presence of a person from the Foundation. This activity will be subject to the activities planned within the retreat.
IMPORTANT NOTE: IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT PEOPLE IN THE CENTER ARE FREE OF COVID-19 ANDTO MAINTAIN INTEGRAL HEALTH DURING THIS PROGRAM, STAYING WITHIN THE ISHA CENTER AT ALL TIMES WILL BE ONE OF THE GUIDELINES TO BE FOLLOWED. EXCEPT IN THE CASE OF FORCE MAJEURE AND UNDER AUTHORIZATION, THE STUDENT MAY LEAVE THE PREMISES CARRYING OUT ALL PREVENTIVE MEASURES PERMANENTLY.
IN THE EVENT THAT THE STUDENT DOES NOT WISH TO REMAIN IN THE PROGRAM ONCE IT HAS STARTED, THE CENTER DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY AND THE STUDENT FORFEITS THE AMOUNT PAID.
4.10 Inside the room, personal hygiene measures and recommendations to reduce the risk of contagion should be followed: handwashing and disinfection, practicing coughing and sneezing etiquette, not spitting, not touching the face with the dirty hands. The use of face masks will remain a constant measure, particularly in closed and common spaces.
4.11 The student will provide natural ventilation of the room as much as possible and most of the time.
4.12 The use of a hand towel is personal and will be something to follow throughout the process, we recommend you change it constantly. The continuous use of disinfectant gel is also necessary.
Note: It is recommended to bring 2 to 3 hand towels for personal use. The use of antibacterial gel in common areas will be provided by the Isha Center.
4.13 Each student is responsible for keeping the space designated for their personal belongings tidy and clean.
4.14 It is recommended not to share objects of common or personal use: telephones, headphones, pens, personal protection equipment.
4.15 It is not allowed to keep food inside the rooms.
4.16 Shoe cleaning is essential in all the areas where the rugs with disinfectant solution are located.
4.17 It is important to respect the established social distancing (1.5 meters), especially with personnel outside the center.
4.18 It is necessary to comply with the schedules established by the center for the different common activities.
IMPORTANT NOTE
IF DURING THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROGRAM, ANY STUDENT HAS SUSPECTED SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19 DISEASE: FEVER, SNEEZING, RUNNY NOSE, COUGH, HEADACHE, ETC., THE ISHA CENTER WILL HELP THE STUDENT TO COORDINATE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE WITH THEIR HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY TO EVALUATE THE STEPS TO FOLLOW.
THE ISHA CENTER IS EXEMPT FROM ANY LIABILITY.
5.0 COEXISTENCE DURING THE QUARANTINE PERIOD, THE STUDENT:
5.1 When planning your trip, it is important to have a complete and clear information on the entry, exit and connection requirements for each country before and during the trip. The requirements are imposed by governments and local authorities and could change constantly. Points to review:
– Entry requirements.
– Stopover information
– Local restrictions
– Quarantine
– Negative result of a COVID-19 test and validity period
5.2 Each participant in this retreat must have Health Insurance with coverage for COVID-19.
5.3 In order to enter Uruguay it’s necessary to have the complete vaccination schedule against COVID-19.
5.4 Each participant must to take a PCR test (nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swab), within a period of no more than 48 hours before their arrival at the Isha Center. Without this result it’s not possible to participate in the event.

5.5 Each participant, prior to their trip, must make the sworn statement requested by the Uruguayan government.
It is the student’s responsibility to confirm to the teacher with whom they have been in contact for their reservation that they have read and understood this protocol before their arrival at the center.
